In the fall of 2006, we took a one-day vacation to Mammoth Caves.
Kendra had never been in a cave before and I thought it was something she needed to experience. While waiting for our tour, we sat outside. It was a nice fall day.
Once inside the caves, Kendra was a little freaked out. Surprisingly more freaked by the large caverns than the small ones. And she was really unhappy when they turn off the lights and you are in complete darkness.
Kendra still references this trip when she talks about being scared by lakes. She doesn’t like it when she can’t see the bottom…
