In October 2014, I took a dive trip with the local dive shop to Cozumel. I did some amazing dives and made some new friends!

On the evening before the flight out of Louisville, Jennifer and I got pedicures and had dinner with Kendra before crashing at her apartment.

Day One: Arrival

Day Two: Diving & Dining Out

I logged my first dive over 100ft!

After our first dinner, breakfast, and lunch at the resort, we decided to go out and find some good food. Breakfast was decent, mainly because of the omelet bar. Lunch was mediocre, but convenient right off the boat. Dinner was in a closed dining room with no air conditioning, and was pretty much the same buffet as lunch. A group of us were hungry for some good food and went into town. We had dinner at La Choza, where I had possibly the best queso of my life.

Day 3: Diving

MoreĀ diving – day and night!

Day 4: Diving and Dinner Out

More amazing diving. And another group on a search for good food. This time we found a great local place called La Perlita that had the most amazing ceviche and lionfish everything.

Day Five: Cenotes

We got up early to catch the ferry to the mainland to dive the cenotes and had dinner at Senor Frog’s before coming back to the resort.

Day Six: Final Dives & Dinner Out

Our last day of dives and a larger group trip back to La Perlita for more lionfish.

Day Seven: Tulum & DinnerĀ Out

On our last full day in Mexico, we took a land tour to Tulum and then we hung out in Playa del Carmen to shop and have dinner. We ate at the same place that I went to with Kelly, Eric, and Kendra the year before.

Day Eight: Travel

Mellisa, Chris, April, Jennifer, and I were together on the flight home, and we enjoyed an American dinner at TGIFridays in Miami.
